According to the story, the protestor was approached by a
woman in her mid 30’s to 40’s, who offered to baptise her in exchange for
quitting the protest. Allegedly, the woman persisted despite the protestor’s
obvious unwillingness to convert.
“I asked her to leave me alone but she didn't seem to get the message and kept on asking me if I wanted to get baptized and that it wasn't "too late" for me to "be saved".
This post coincides with the Vigil for Life and March for
Life events. There are widespread accounts of the display of crucifixes and
presence of the clergy at both of these events. This has been a source of
resentment for many pro-choice activists, who feel their own religious views
are not being respected. One of the major organisers of the vigil, Youth
Defence, could not be reached for comment on the matter.
